One Engineer. Real Ocean Experience.
Oceanic LLC is built around one engineer shaped by a lifetime on the water. Raised in a sailing family and immersed early in competitive racing, Andrew Lee developed a practical understanding of marine systems long before formal engineering training. He has competed in numerous offshore races and at the highest levels of keelboat sailing, including winning an Etchells North American Championship and placing in the top ten at the World Championship level.
That competitive discipline — preparation, precision, and respect for load and environment — carries directly into his engineering work. Andrew previously founded the sailboat racing hardware brand SOAK, where he led the design and development of multiple performance-focused products, including the widely adopted Halyard Clip. This experience translating real-world sailing demands into successful hardware informs the development philosophy behind Oceanic LLC.
Professionally, his background spans hydrographic survey operations, vessel-based system management, subsea mechanical design, and contributions to advanced autonomous platforms, including work associated with the Oceaneering Freedom™ AUV. From pressure housings and ROV tooling to integrated electronic systems and patent-pending magnetic actuation mechanisms, his work bridges offshore reality with disciplined mechanical innovation.
Oceanic LLC reflects that foundation: engineering built by someone who has spent decades trusting hardware at sea.
